LAUREN DELANEY

Hi! I'm Lauren and I'm an Occupational Therapist in Canberra. I completed the B. App. Sc. (OT) degree at The University of Sydney in 2011.

For over 10 years, I've been an OT who works with kids and teenagers. This has included working as an OT in the acute in-patient wards at The Centenary Hospital for Women and Children in Canberra, and since 2016, working as a private practice OT.

Fun Play Laughter is a mobile OT business. I mainly see children/teenagers at their schools for OT. This provides such a wonderful opportunity to work with schools and parents/caregivers to all be on the same page and work as a team to support a child's skill developments.

My areas of interest in private practice include ASD, ADHD, sensory processing, regulation, handwriting and fine motor. Play is such an important occupation for a child. It is also the main way that I deliver the OT services that I provide to kids.

Outside of work, I love to do pilates, play tennis and spend time with friends and my fiance. I'm a country girl at heart, so it's a great feeling to return for a visit to my hometown of Cowra, to soak up the feeling of being on a farm and spending time with my Cowra family and friends.
